I tried a technique called HDR with this shot. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and is basicly a technique where all the well exposed bits of a series of images are combined together to make one image. Assuming you take a series of the same picture at different levels of exposure, from over exposed to under exposed, you can get software to take all of that information and create one image from all the good parts of all the original images. Not so technical, but it does require a certain amount of forethought and a solid tripod...hehe. At any rate...I'm not so good at it - I've certainlt seen better.
